Clean your jewellery regularly. Using clean soapy water and a soft brush, such as an old toothbrush, will help remove a build-up of dirt. Be sure to dry your jewellery once cleaned as water can accelerate tarnish.

Your order will include a polishing cloth, which will wipe away fingerprints and marks to keep your jewellery shining bright.

Remove your jewellery before bathing, showering or swimming. Chlorine especially can encourage your jewellery to tarnish.

Avoid contact with household chemicals, perfumes and lotions. Remove your jewellery before applying hand cream or lotions, and never spray perfume near your jewellery. This will accelerate tarnishing and damage certain gemstones.

Wear your silver jewellery. The natural oils in your skin will “clean” and polish your jewellery while you wear it. These oils protect the sterling silver from several of the things that speed up the tarnishing process.

Safe storage. If your jewellery is not to be worn every day, keep is safe and secure in a box or the pouch provided with your order. Storing separately will avoid scratching your jewellery against other pieces and keep chains fastened to prevent the dreaded chain knots. Keep it out of direct sunlight, damp or hot conditions.
